Tension in the jaw from misalignment, clenching or grinding can manifest as head and facial pain, ear pain, neck pain and in some cases dental pain, dizziness and sinus pain. There may also be clicking and crunching when the jaw is opened or closed, chewing may be painful or the jaw may feel as though it goes out of alignment when the mouth is moved.

Our Jaw Release Treatment is a targeted protocol using gentle but effective soft tissue techniques and correction around the shoulders, neck, base of the skull and the facial muscles surrounding the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) to facilitate the release of the muscles associated with jaw pain – known medically as TMJ Disorder or TMJ Syndrome.
Paying particular attention to these areas with a combination of chiropractic and soft tissue methods helps to gently release tight areas, improve alignment of the joints and structures and restore function and comfort.
This may be taken as a standalone course of care or incorporated into a regular session depending on your symptoms and needs.
